Own a piece of an Historic Plantation! Cedar Grove, the Henry Ware Plantation, was originally part of a 640 acre plantation.
(Some records show over 8,000 acres) The home, a two story Greek Revival is a four square floor plan with a hipped roof
and double hung windows on both stories, built of locally made brick, hand-hewn timbers and square nails started in 1847
and completed in 1852. Pier and beam, the piers are reported to be 9' deep!. Ownership of the home was kept within the Ware family descendants through June of 2019. There is a stocked spring fed lake lined with cypress trees. This home will require restoration/renovation, currently there is no kitchen (the original kitchen would have been outside the home).
